Default GWG Comic

hi there guild wars fans, soon there should be even more reason to visit guild wars guru.

There are plans to add a comic to the site, but what kind of comic/how long/the style is affected by you.
What I’m thinking of is a bi-weekly one page comic witch shows a continues storyline to follow the adventures of two people
I would love some input, and I guess here is the place to post it, so get scratching those heads!

Who is creating the art/story, and where are samples to view?

There have been few good GW comic out before ... (with Labsenpai being your.. uh.. Senpai in this area, espcially here at guru)

Are you going for serious/RP tone, or the more comical ones? And what style are you going for?

Pocketmancer's comic was indeed excellent, although I haven't heard nor seen any others. This should be interesting, but I too am interested in how this will turn out.

It should be a comedy about two adventurers who think they have completed the game because they have done Hell's Precipice, but when confronted by a lot of things they don't know what they are. For example, they could get a run to the Temple of Ages from Lion's Arch, and experience the huge crowds preparing to go into the Underworld and Fissure of Woe, and not know anything about it. They could see people in Fissure armour and go 'Hey, where'd you get that.' They could see people talking to Gaile Gray/Froggie (in their various ways) and not know what was going on. They could visit Beacon's Perch, full of all the runners, or get a run to the Granite Citadel and not know what IDS is. They could find a crappy weapon and try to WTS it together in all chat. Just a load of funny ideas that will make us laugh because we know what it is and they don't.

All right, I'll post a panel of Haroldinium's work that he sent me. This is just a single frame but he's planning on a full page spread. It certainly made me chuckle

Thanks for all this interest; well I’m doing both the story and the art. I like your ideas king, that is kind of the thing I’m going for. I don’t know weather I should reveal how it all begins; this is a continuing comedy story. I'm goanna try to do one every 2weeks but to do them at that rate they will have to be in black and white. If it would please site viewers i could also do a new single panel illustration like the example shown?

and if you would like more examples of my existing work... http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/...ium/index.html

I started a comic -sad and surprised noone has mentioned it in this thread.

I agree that pockets was a huge step forward in quality writing. Most gw comics i've seen have nothing to do with guild wars at all -it's terrible.

Meh, I felt bad being a hypocrite and asking people to post on comics when I rarely find the time myself.

GWG comic is, like most of the comics here, damn fine. I have a greater respect for them mainly since they must require more time than I spend on A&O, and even that takes a good deal of time. Comedy in them gets a big thumbs up, and my previous comments elsewhere about the picture quality were due to the fact they had been shrunk by the site or someone. Having since seen the originals, there really is nothing to fault them.

Thumbs up all around. I look forward to this latest project... whatever it may be
